Tiny farmhands?

So, big news. Maybe. Potentially. Hopefully.

Because nothing is for sure about this process, there are many caveats and possiblys attached.

Nate and I are trying to adopt.

Because people ask these kinds of questions I’ll go ahead and answer them right off the bat. No, we’re not infertile (as far as we know). No, this doesn’t mean we’ll never have children of our own gene pool (though we really haven’t decided one way or another). And yes, we know that being a parent means you’re a parent forever.

We’re trying to adopt a sibling group of 3. I can’t give much more information out than that, except that we’re working on completing our MAPP courses (required courses in Hillsborough County to become foster or adoptive parents) and completing lots and lots of paperwork.

It’s a tedious, terrifying, and exhilarating process, and we’re very excited.

There is much to be cleaned up on the mini-farm. All scrap pieces, unsafe bits of metal, wood, etc. need to be gone. Definitely calls for a yard day and much mulch in the upcoming weeks.

Prayers and fingers crossed for the best.
