The Tiniest Squash

Posted on March 24, 2012

Since I am terrible at labeling the things in my garden as I start them (though I am getting better!), I can’t tell you exactly what manner of squash this is, but I can tell you that it’s either a butternut or spaghetti since those are the varieties I planted. We reused burlap rice bags that a local Indian Restaurant we frequent gives away for planters. So far there is much less bug activity on these than the squash we had in the ground last year, though it seems this time of year, the pumpkins and similar ground-dwellers are doing decently and the aphids are going after beans and one cucumber plant in particular.
