On Christmas Eve I helped weed the front garden at Lake House. K. Bagtaz was there and had some cayenne peppers harvested from.the house that she decided we should make pepper jelly with. A few recipes on the internet, a trip to my house, her house, and the store to gather ingredients later we were chopping, boiling, and canning this stuff.
I’ll be honest, I haven’t tried it, but that’s largely because I feel like I should give away my first canning experience to someone. I need to gather canning supplies so that when our plants start to produce we can make various other jams, jellies, and preserves.
Nate has already become obsessed with pickling.
